Getting Started
For Clients: How to Get Started
Whether you're exploring equine-assisted therapy at Therapy Horses or booking with one of our collaborating professionals through the Affiliate Therapy platform, this section will guide you through the process. It takes you from the referral stage to accessing your secure client portal. We’ve made each step simple and clear. Click the sections below to learn more. Please note: we also work with professionals who do not use the Affiliate Therapy platform and are happy to provide their contact details on request.
Whether you're referring yourself or have been referred by a school or healthcare professional, we're here to help you take the next step.
For equine-assisted therapy, all services begin with a medical assessment by Dr. Mohith.
If you’d like to connect directly with a psychologist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, or psychomotor therapist on our platform, you’re welcome to reach out to them directly.
Not sure where to start? If you know you need support but aren’t sure which service is right for you, Dr. Mohith—our Clinical Director and GP—can help guide the way with an initial assessment and appropriate referrals to our network.
Once your healthcare provider has referred you and you have completed an initial session with Dr Mohith, you will receive a link to register on our client portal. This system is used to manage your therapy sessions, book appointments, access teletherapy (if applicable), and securely store your personal information. It also allows, with your permission, for safe information sharing among your care team to ensure coordinated support.
Our secure, third-party Client Portal is used to manage all aspects of your therapy. It is HIPAA-compliant and protects your personal information to the highest standards.
The Client Portal is separate from our website, but you can easily access it by clicking the Client Portal button on this page.
Once your referring practitioner has registered you, you’ll be able to log in and:
-
Book appointments with your assigned therapist(s)
-
Join group classes if relevant to your care plan
-
View your upcoming appointments
-
Access and download your invoices
-
Complete or upload required forms
Please note: this portal is available to existing clients only and is only used by practitioners on our network. We are still happy to collaborate with practitioners outside our immediate network.
-
No. We do not accept walk-ins or self-bookings for the first appointment. To ensure your needs are properly assessed, all initial appointments should be made by directly contacting the practitioner. Once the initial appointment is confirmed, your practitioner will directly register you on the system.
At Therapy Horses and Affiliate Therapies, protecting your privacy is a top priority. This website does not store any personal health information. The only details we collect are those you choose to share via our Contact Us form.
All referrals, therapy records, and appointment management are handled through Zander—our secure, HIPAA-compliant platform designed to meet international standards for safeguarding personal health information.
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, please contact our admin team or visit our privacy policy page. We're here to help.
If you’re working with therapists or physicians outside our platform, we’re happy to collaborate and support your care journey. We can also provide contact details for specialists within our network. Our mission is to offer interconnected care—for the benefit of the client.
